How to Help Minimize Business Disruption During Emergencies

GWINNETT COUNTY SMALL BUSINESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Gwinnett County is offering $20 million in federal CARES Act loans and grants for local for-profit businesses that have been hurt during the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds are intended to help businesses reopen their doors with such needs as deep cleaning facilities, modifying facilities to accommodate ongoing social distancing, restocking inventory, marketing to their clients, and/or paying staff in advance of reopening and achieving revenue.

Grants are capped at $75,000. The loans will range from $50,000 to $200,000.

Invest Atlanta: Economic Assistance for Atlanta Businesses Affected by COVID-19

To ensure the viability of city businesses and to help sustain employment, Invest Atlanta has established a Business Continuity Loan Fund (BCLF) with $1.5 million of funding from the City of Atlanta. The fund will offer small businesses zero-interest loans to address a lack of working capital and cash flows as a result of reduced consumer demand, the ability to fulfill product or service orders and other economic conditions.

Verizon-LISC  Small Business Recovery Grant Application

LISC and Verizon are partnering to provide grants of up to $10,000 to businesses and non-profits facing immediate financial pressure because of COVID-19—especially entrepreneurs of color, women-owned businesses and other enterprises in historically underserved communities who don’t have access to flexible, affordable capital.

The grant can be used for paying rent and utilities, meeting payroll, paying outstanding debt to vendors, and other immediate operational costs. The first round of grant applications is due on Saturday, April 4th.
